The quality of botanical education depends on the and interests teacher. aim our paper was to conduct an initial study attitudes primary secondary school teachers about plants botany. We initiated a in which 211 biology 168 different subjects, from schools Croatia, participated voluntary basis. Statistical analysis processed using jamovi 2.3 software. Teachers all profiles (biology others) had similar attitudes: high opinion importance for life but not botany; botany middle their scale potential exclusion education. last part survey referred only suggestions increasing attractiveness as subject. results showed that least popular, within it, were most interested ecology horticulture. They suggested would be more interesting with active teaching methods references everyday contexts; however, it remains unclear why is so, level autonomy they are given does enable them introduce such changes.
